Our second card to troll on shall be...hehe...
Imperial Daughter :D
Seriously...
Imperial Daughter
Normal Unit
Grade 3/Twin Drive!!
Power: 11 000
Critical: 1
United Sanctuary - Oracle Think Tank
Race: Human
Effect:
永(Passive) {V/R}: Restraint (This card cannot attack)
起(Startup) {V/R}: [Counterblast (1), move 1 <Oracle Think Tank> Rear-guard to Soul] This Unit loses Restraint for this turn.
永(Passive) {V}: During your turn, if you have no Rear-guards, this Unit gains 10,000 Power and 1 Critical and loses Restraint.
This card isn't all as bad as our first Troll Card, Zenon, but it's still quite illogical to be usable. Possibilities include Riding Sakuya and at most Calling only Grade 2s to attack and Intercepting them away OR Call a Boost or Grade 3 then use Imperial Daughter's Soul Charging effect to get rid of it.
The Aichi, unlike the obviously pro me, (ego) thought that it was possible to Retire Units for no reason. However, after much asking around, it has been proven that that's not possible. So yes, let's include Rulings in this post: You cannot Retire Units for no reason, only through effects or Retiring them to Call other Units can it be done.
Now, on to how this card's NOT really reliable.
If you think about it, it's actually very unlikely for an Oracle Think Tank (OTT) deck to have an empty field. Since you can easily increase hand size, the typical duelist would, of course, spam Units onto the field to attack, rather than just for Imperial Daughter to use its effect. Unless you had a super fail hand or your opponent is spamming Retiring with a Kagero deck or the like. Or you decided to combo it with Sakuya. Either way, 1 Nullifier/Negator/Perfect Shield, and you can say your byes for that turn. (The Aichi's add on: But then again, it is not possible for the opponent to always have a nullifier to nullify your attack so if you can drag on and survive several other turns, Imperial Daughter's effect might be able to be fully activated and deal a hard blow. But for you to survive several turns and only being able to attack with your vanguard, your handsize has to be very big to successfully guard your opponents attack. Hence we do not find it very realistic to use this card as it depends A LOT on luck for its last effect to work.)
Cause, if you think about it, you're losing your Rear-guard set ups just so your Vanguard can have a harder hit. It's possible to set up 15k or 16k or higher for Rear-guards, and don't forget there's also Silent Toms which hit harder. Your opponent would probably have to guard 10k for that Rear-guard attack, and you have 2 Rear-guards to attack. Meaning, your opponent has to guard about 10k less to be safe, and they can still use all their Triggers to guard.
Also, don't forget that OTT had just gotten their Promise Daughter: by discarding 1 OTT card in your hand (easily accomplished with your big hand) it jumps from being a 9k attacker to 14k. Using this, Rear-guards can very easily exceed 20k.
As such, Imperial Daughter isn't as good as it can be since it just stops you from being able to use so much better cards for attacking. Yes, it's base is 11k, but still, without 9k Boosts for Rear-guards, it's use, when there's Rear-guards, is when it's a Vanguard Boosted by Milk.
Now, how about trolling this card?
Let's try out Secretary Angel, hmm. Yes, just for fun. Slowly, Imperial Daughter will let you hit 6 Soul (hopefully) so Secretary Angel, Oracle Guardian Blue-Eye, and Faithful Angel will have their effects. Slowly, but surely. And maybe Red-Eye too, just in case.
And come on, their base Power is so low, it's sure to be destroyed by the opponent in no time. Yay, you fulfill Imperial Daughter's other criterion.
"Fighting for the future, the princess stands alone in the front lines."
I must say, the future's going to be so ruined. (Aichi: Kamui's just being biased against OTT cos she loves RP too much sheesh.=.= Kamui: HEY COME ON!! I meant that having Imperial Daughter fight for the future would totally ruin the whole thing xD I'd rather send Silent Toms to attack hehe.)
