Today's Pro Card 8th December 2011

Haven't updated for so long, been really busy with things... hehe...
Anyway, this time, instead of just trolling, let's do something more proper.
And today's card shall be: Demon Killer Knight, Lohengrin!! :D

Demon Killer Knight, Lohengrin
Normal Unit
Grade 3/Twin Drive!!
Power: 10 000
Critical: 1
United Sanctuary - Royal Paladin
Race: Human
Effect:
自(Auto) {V}: At the start of your Main Phase, Soul Charge 1, and this Unit has +2000 Power until end of turn.
自(Auto) {V/R}: [Soul Blast 8, Counter Blast 5] When this Unit's attack hits, you may pay the cost. If you do, retire all of your opponent's rear-guards.

Ok, this card's actually in my first deck, a Royal Paladin one focused on Soul Charging. Yes, back in the old days when Barcgal was still roaming the streets. (I still play a Soul Charge Royal Paladin deck now ahaha)

It's second effect isn't exactly usable most of the time, considering how Royal Paladins tend to use up Counter Blasts with Blaster Blade, Akane, Alfred, just to name a few. But it's first effect is the reason why I use this card.

With the Soul Charging, Great Sage Baron and Young Pegasus Knight can have +3000 Power. That makes a 21k set up for the Vanguard (Pegasus and Lohengrin) or 20k set up for Rear Guard (Baron and Pegasus). And if you do more Soul Charging, with Margal and Pongal, the Power can go much higher.

Also, with a big Soul comes a painful attack. Gigantic Dozer and Borugal have this Continuous effect (only during your turn though) of adding 3000 Power when you have 6 or more Soul. It can be just as good as Baron and Pegasus, even though it doesn't stack. Since Lohengrin Soul Charges only at the start of the turn, if you don't already have Baron or Pegasus on the field, there won't be any Power boost. So Gigantic Dozer and Borugal are useful for filling up the field, while Baron and Pegasus are good for Margal spammage.

Also, don't forget Galahad. It's a powerful card, but if luck's not on your side, it may just end up with only 9000 Power. So, Lohengrin is used to attempt to Soul Charge the Grade(s) missed. Or, it's just used as a faster way to hit 6 Soul for Galahad to use his effect.

Currently, for Royal Paladins, [Lohengrin + YPK + extra Soul Charging from somewhere] is the best way to go to hit the 13k Phantom Blaster Overlord painfully. Although, I believe the new Royal Paladin cards will be able to counter the new Phantom Blaster more easily, this is just another way.

Overall, I think this is quite a good card, being able to set up lots of combos, hehe.

"Roar, demon slaying blade!"

(The Aichi's add on: I told you Kamui is an overly obsessed RP lover... Don't worry, other pro cards in other clans will be coming out soon. Do look forward to it! ^^)
